Lungi Ngidi’S SAUCY Dunked Chicken Wings RECIPE

Serves 7

Ingredients

  • 12 wings cut into 3

  • 500ml Amasi /plain Yogurt from Gourmet Greek

  • 500ml Champaign Valley Cake flour

  • 30ml Chicken Spice

  • 15ml Mixed Herbs

  • 15 ml Garlic Powder

  • 15 ml Paprika

  • 1 litre Sunflower Oil

  • Salt and Pepper to season

  • 30ml Sesame Seeds

Sauce ingredients

  • 100ml Soy Sauce

  • 125 ml White Wine Vinegar

  • 30ml Fresh Ginger

  • 1 Clove of Garlic minced

  • 100ml Brown Sugar

Method

Wings

Step 1: Soak wings in Amasi / Yogurt.

Step 2: In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients.

Step 3: Coat wings with the flour mixture.

Step 4: Heat the oil and deep fry the wings until cooked.

Step 5: Remove from the Oil and place them in a Plate with paper towel to drain the oil.

Sauce

Step 1: In a saucepan on medium heat place all your sauce ingredients and bring it to the boil.

Step 2: Let it simmer until it becomes thick.

Step 3: Dunk your wings in the sauce then sprinkle with sesamie seeds.

Step 4: Serve your wings and enjoy!
