Name the most important thing you were taught at Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine.
The most important thing Chef Jackie taught me was to never give up. You think you have pushed yourself to the limit but there is always more - and never settle for anything but your best.
How did Jackie Cameron's teachings change your life?
When I first joined Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine, I lacked confidence and through the teachings and ongoing support from Chef Jackie I grew more self-assured.
How would you describe Jackie Cameron?
Chef Jackie will always push you to beyond your limits, she expects nothing but the best from you and will always be there to support and advise you, even after the course. She does not put up with nonsense and is always fair.
How would you describe yourself before Jackie Cameron's teachings?
Before Chef School I was unsure of myself and lacked confidence.
Was Jackie Cameron too hard on you?
Chef Jackie will always push you and expect you to do your best - sometimes it will seem as though she is too hard on you, but once you get into the industry you will understand her reasoning. You will be more-than capable of dealing with the immense pressure.
Would you recommend Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine to anyone interested in the culinary industry?
I would definitely recommend Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine because of the one-on-one attention Chef Jackie gives and she supports and guides you long after the course is over.
Would you recommend the hospitality industry as a career?
The hospitality industry isn’t for everyone but, if you are really passionate about it, it will be the right fit for you. The hours are long, but you will make great friends who become family.
What attributes – do you think - made Jackie Cameron successful?
Chef is successful because she is hard working and she is tenacious. I do believe she never sleeps!
In your opinion, is success worthwhile?
Success is worthwhile because what’s the point of doing something if you are going to be mediocre at it and not put everything you have into it?
