1. What inspired you to enrol at Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine?

I want to learn the knowledge and skills required to be successful in the culinary field.

2. What are you hoping to achieve here?

Great results - and the knowledge needed to be successful restaurant owner.

3. Explain what you are prepared to give of yourself?

Hard work and dedication to never give up.

4. What is your long-term goal?

To open my own restaurant one day, in Europe.

5. In how many years do you hope to achieve this?

I would like to achieve this goal within 10-15 years.

6. Are you aware that the pressure you'll be placed under during the course will help you achieve your goal? Elaborate on your ability to cope with pressure.

Yes, I am because running and owning a restaurant, or any business, requires one to be able to withstand the pressure, and the pressure on this course will help me deal with those issues one day. When I’m in pressured situations I can delegate tasks and use my team to help.

7. Do you shy away from hard work? Elaborate on your answer.

No, I do not. I’m usually someone who performs under high pressure and hard work and will take it on face first…

8. Are you willing to perform all tasks assigned to you? Give the reason for your answer.

Yes, I am because doing those tasks will allow me to gain the knowledge and skill that I want to achieve on this course.

9. Are you aware that the hospitality industry requires you to work on weekends and public holidays while guest play? Comment on this.

I am aware of this, and I am willing to offer up those days to achieve success within this industry.

10. Who is your favourite international 'foodie?

Gordon Ramsay.

11. If food had a personality, what dish would be most like you - and why?

A beef wellington because I’m a complex person to understand but as you get to know me I’m just a simple man being built up by basic experiences to create who I am.

12. Where were you born and raised?

I was born and raised in Vanderbijlpark in Gauteng

13. Apart from food what hobbies do you enjoy?

I enjoy playing cricket and golf.

14. What dish do you find least inspiring? Explain reason.

Fruit salad because anyone can chop up fruit and mix it in a bowl.

15. Name four celebrities you'd like to have at your dinner table? Explain why.

Uncle Roger because he is a comedian that makes fun of celebrity chefs destroying dishes.

Gordon Ramsay because he is an inspiration to me to build my restaurant empire.

Margot Robbie because she’s my celebrity crush.

AB de Villiers because I’m a cricket fan and played provincial cricket.
