“The Gourmet Greek is a small, family-run business that was established in 2012. What makes us unique is our Greek heritage and passion for sharing good food by ensuring that every mouthful is lovingly made by hand and expresses what the Gourmet Greek stands for.”
We are proud and excited to have been awarded the 'Eat out award for best small producer: dairy (other)', for our traditional Strained Greek Yoghurt.
Our product range initially comprised of thick-Greek yoghurt, creamy soft Feta and delicious Halloumi. We have now expanded our range to include a variety of more commonly known cheeses, including Gouda, Peccorino and Cheddar along with some less well-known cheeses such as Soft Spreadable Cheese.
We believe in keeping our products as natural as possible by not adding colourants, starches or sugars. We currently sell our products directly from our Cheesery in Lion's River, as well as a variety of local delis and restaurants in the Midlands, Pretoria, Johannesburg and Empangeni.
