“Chef Jackie’s teachings helped me grow as a chef, and also taught me valuable life lessons.”
How would you describe Jackie Cameron?
”Chef Jackie is like our ‘mum’ - a mentor and a friend. She is definitely one of the most hard- working women I know.“
How would you describe yourself before her teachings?
”I lacked self-confidence.”
How would you describe yourself after her teachings?
”I am more confident in the kitchen and in life now.”
Was I she too hard on you?
”Chef was firm, and always led us to the right path. There are times when each one of us needs direction, and chef always had our best interests at heart.“
Would you recommend Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine to anyone interested in the culinary industry?
”Yes! Most definitely. “
Would you recommend the hospitality industry as a career?
”Indeed. If cheffing is your passion then you need to follow through with your whole heart. There is a lot of sacrifice that comes with it, but it is worth every minute.”
What attributes do you think made Jackie Cameron successful?
”Her perseverance and her willingness to never give up. Chef isn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty.”
In your opinion, is success worthwhile?
”Success means different things to different people. For me being successful means being happy in whatever I’m doing.”
