Everything gets judged blind, as in no judge knows whose food is whose. Che Thembalthu brings the plates from upstairs downstairs to the judges and they judge…they know nothing about what is happening upstairs. Cant get fairer than this.
My first chef tasting judge is Nardia Adams one of my closest friends whereby we met when training and got out first job placement together. She owns Fudart. What she does… or should I say - what doesn’t she do?
From gourmet burgers to fine dining, Fudart is an upmarket contemporary catering and food consulting company.
The one aspect of her catering company is he has a beeeeeeg orange customised 1978 Bedford bus known as Fudart strEATERY which is an 8 metre temperature controlled stainless steel kitchen, is self-sufficient with built in plumbing, electricity and gas.

You may have seen her and her team at International Conferences and Concerts at the Durban ICC, local food Markets and Music Concerts at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Botanic Gardens and Greyville Race Course as well as all the Exhibitions at Durban Exhibition Centre. But I like the fact that she does private house parties. Imagine inviting a few friends over and having the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeg orange bus driving into your property and cooking up some deliciousness.
The type of equipment installed allows us to cater for various styles of meals from finer plated meals and upmarket street food. The vehicle is available for all shows, exhibitions, weddings, functions and house parties. We offer the ease and convenience of being fully mobile so the truck can be driven and parked at almost any venue without strict height restrictions.
